Misconfigurations continue to be a leading cause of cyber security breaches. Luckily, you can prevent and correct them with the right knowledge and tools on your side. The National Security Agency (NSA) and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) recently released a joint cyber security advisory (CSA) sharing the most common misconfigurations observed by their Red and Blue team assessments.

We were joined by Tyler Reguly, senior manager, security R&D at Fortra's Tripwire who guided us through some common security misconfigurations you’re likely to encounter, along with tips on how to fix them and prevent new ones.

Gain expert insights into:

  • What security misconfigurations are and their role in the cyber threat landscape.
  • The most common types of misconfigurations that occur on-premises and in the cloud.
  • How security configuration management (SCM) can help with misconfigurations and Fortra's approach.
