Mr. Hutchens serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for Apple Federal Credit Union in Fairfax. VA. He has over 37 years of experience in information technology and security as a senior executive leading organizations that provide consulting, systems development, and the application of business and information technology solutions. He has led organizations in financial services, government, manufacturing, and healthcare. He has served as executive leader for cyber security, security regulatory and privacy compliance, and internal investigations of cyber and physical security related incidents. Mr. Hutchens has served as adjunct professor for the University of Virginia, George Washington University, and currently instructs for George Mason University, Arlington, Virginia. 

Mr. Hutchens has a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Averett University, Danville, VA. He has professional certifications in Financial Crimes Investigation from Utica College, NY; Leading Operational Excellence from MIT Sloan Executive Education; and, Advanced Cyber Security Management from Stanford University, CA.
