1.) What’s the coolest thing you are working on right now?

Apart from working with a team of computer scientists to build a platform that will finally provide security professionals the visibility to monitor and manage their security posture?

I am currently midway through a woodworking project to build a credenza to hold my collection of vinyl records. The top is made some solid walnut so there’s no room for mistakes and it will look great when it’s finished.

2.) What is the greatest technology invented in the last 10 years, and why?

Obviously some may say the advent of the iPhone, which has certainly taken mobile Internet browsing to the next level. However, I would say that the greatest tech invention of the last ten years is the advent of the driverless car. It represents the biggest step forward in a real-life AI application.

I love driving but the scope it has to make roads safer and more efficient is huge and it could fundamentally change the way the transportation sector operates.

3.) What is the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

I am reading the latest Stuart Woods book, A Delicate Touch, which features his on-going protagonist, Stone Barrington. His books are short stories, which are great for me as I travel a lot and I can start and finish one during a flight.

I am also halfway through one of Dan Brown’s older novels, A Lost Symbol. You can’t beat an easy-reading mystery book at the end of the day!

4.) What are you currently watching on Netflix?

An interesting fact about me is that I really don’t watch TV. The last time I put Netflix on was about two years ago and if I recall correctly it was a Tom Petty concert that I had on in the background.

5.) What’s the most ‘useless’ fact you know?

Well I don’t think it’s a useless fact, but… not many people know that the arrow on a car’s gas gage is always pointed to the side of the car that has the fuel cap.

6.) What is your favorite way to spend free time?

I am a fanatic about music – I enjoy listening and watching music across a wide range of genres, across blues, rock, funk, jazz and pop. I am currently learning to play the guitar, but I have a long way to go yet!

7.) What is your biggest fear?

There’s not enough time – in the day or life, which is why I try and maximize every moment I can!
