Chris Cardran

Chris Cardran serves IBM as a Cyber-Security Solutions Architect supporting the Financial Services (FSS) market. 

Chris supported IBM’s Security Division in QRadar and Watson Cognitive Security team roles. He has spent over 18 years addressing security vulnerabilities and protection of public and private sector organizations around the world, acting in both Development and Solution Architect roles. 

Mr. Cardran joined Internet Security Systems in 2000, and remained with the Federal Security group after the IBM acquisition. In 2013 he accepted a role in analytics on the IBM Smarter Cities Worldwide team as a Cyber Intelligence Architect, returning to the security division with FSS late 2015 after launching the i2 Cyber Intelligence initiative.

Chris has addressed the needs of clients worldwide, including FSS Clients and the United States Federal Government with specific concentration on Justice, Legislative, Judicial, and Intelligence clients. He has helped manage Security Operation Centers for the Department of Homeland Security, designing security solutions, and developing protection policies and response procedures.

He became a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2003.  His Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) recognition was obtained in 2007.  Pulling from past education and experience, Chris has helped advance concepts of Cyber Intelligence aiding FSS clients to better protect sensitive data while ensuring business continuity.
