Michael serves as a Chief Information Security Officer for a Non-Profit Healthcare organization in Maryland, concentrating on the information security function and cybersecurity. Michael has a Masters in Cyber Security, MBA and over 18 years of experience in risk management, compliance, strategy and consulting within healthcare and the Department of

Defense. Michael is focused on building and establishing successful technology risk and cybersecurity programs from the ground up, concentrating on HIPAA, PCI-DSS and RMF compliance. Michael is responsible for the overall organizational security strategy, program oversight, information security policies, standards, and organizational awareness. Michael holds industry certifications for ITIL, Project Management, Security, and Microsoft infrastructure platforms and is a member of the Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security and serves on joint Cyber Security Work Groups and Certification Exploration committees.
