He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Northwestern University’s School of Staff and Command, Executive Law Enforcement Training, and a graduate of the United States Secret Service Dignitary Protection Academy.
Chief Jones served as a law enforcement officer in multi-dimensional capacities ranging from a line officer, up to and including the role of a county wide policing agency’s chief law enforcement divisional administrator, and cresting as the Chief /Administrator of Police, Fire, or Public Safety for multiple cities.
Chief Jones’ education also includes a Masters’ Degree from Eastern Michigan University, a Bachelors’ Degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, an Associate Degree from Henry Ford College and he is a State certified fire-fighter.
Currently, Barnett Jones is continuing his studies at Madonna University and will graduate with a Masters’ in Educational Leadership in 2019.
In his spare time, Chief Jones serves as one of many pastors at his church in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
