Head of Compliance and DPO Motor Insurers Bureau

Ben has 15 years of regulatory and corporate compliance experience across different industries and regulatory regimes. Ben joined the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB) as the Head of Compliance and DPO in July 2023. 

At MIB, Ben oversees the company’s corporate and data protection compliance frameworks, focusing on management of governance, policies, processes, education, and culture. Prior to MIB, Ben spent 5 years working for S&P Global, where he held divisional responsibility for their corporate and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Before S&P Global, Ben spent 8 years working as a Data Protection Officer with roles in tech and financial services. Ben is the 2022 ICA Compliance Officer of the Year, the 2023 ICA Business Partner of the Year, an IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), an (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a holder of the ICA Advanced Certificate in Managing Sanctions Risk and is currently studying for a Diploma in ESG.
